Satellite Cover Performance
The following photos documents our Cover performance.
Afternoon - April 14, 2014This shot taken at noon with 28 degrees on the thermometer. The snow has slid off the cover and there has been no loss of HD signal.
Recently we had 7 inches of snow on December 3rd through the 5th accompanying sub zero temperatures.
Afternoon - December 4th, 2013The satellite dish with our Cover taken at 12:50 p.m., no loss of signal.
Points: Actual experience using our Snow Cover
Even with the snow on the cover during sub-zero temperatures, we received HD service and at no time lost service.
Sometime in the late morning, while it continued to snow with temperatures just above zero, the snow dropped off the cover without loss of HD service.
"We received 3 or so inches of "sticky" snow last night in Steamboat, and this was the perfect opportunity to go around and check for snow accumulation on our various installations. It appears, that the new custom 'hoodies' from Foothills Products were the first to shed snow, and were completely clear when I arrived. The dishes at Kutuk, which don't have anything were obviously the worst, but the small dish at The West also still had snow on it when I arrived, which was about 20 minutes after taking the picture at Dulany. This location has one of our standard hoodies on it, which did shed all snow while I was onsite."
